Wedding Day Massacre: Chapter 23

FIVE STARS

Dorian sat in front of the massive monitor of his hulking desktop. Parts of the room looked closer to a spaceship than an office. The hardware bordered on obsessive, but to him, it was really just about business. He needed to be a phantom in the perverse universe of the dark web that he was dwelling.

The security was a necessity if he was to continue to offer his twisted services to the top-tier creeps around the globe. Business had been good the last few years. He was in a bit of a niche market, there weren’t too many wedding planners that could work mass murder into the equation. So, when he found a potential client that was actually deranged enough to even think that notion was a possibility, he kind of had them by the balls. It wasn’t exactly something a quick Google search could take care of.

Sebastian had been his first client to hold their wedding in America. Also, the first client he’d had relations with, which made the sure bet suicidal finale that his customers always worked in more difficult to cope with. Sebastian didn’t end up committing suicide, but he achieved the result he wanted. One-hundred percent casualty rate (as far as Dorian knew). So, in the end, Dorian believed he’d delivered on every parameter that he desired.

Dorian had felt a little weird about arranging a massacre in the country he lived in. America was highly monitored and the chance of getting caught was far higher than any of the other shithole destinations he’d arranged for past clients. But he just loved Sebastian so much that it completely blinded him. Deep down, he’d wanted both of them to escape together in the end. He thought he could convince him, but Taylor snatched that opportunity away from his well-manicured fingers.

With his love probably sitting on a cold autopsy table somewhere, he looked to the perversion of the internet’s seedy underbelly—the dark web—for his escape. Currently, his computer screen was occupied by a large group of adolescent children dressed as pilgrim skeletons. They were tearing apart a pair of middle-aged white folks.

The terrified man and screaming woman who, to the more sensitive public, were clearly culturally appropriating by being dressed in Native American garb, were finally dead. Although, they’d probably be killed again by internet trolls in the near future…

“The Best New Kids? Yeesh, this is fucked up,” Dorian whispered to himself. “Alright, time to check out the reviews…”

He’d been waiting a little while to check them because of how sentimental thinking about that evening and Sebastian had been. In his business, the reviews got put up in advance because there would be no way for them to do a post-wedding evaluation from the grave. An extra salty tear accumulated in his eye as Dorian looked at the five golden stars and read along in his head:
