Wicked Games: Chapter 7

Jason

Sitting back with an attitude Tempest crossed her arms, making her titties sit up even more than the usually did. My eyes wanted to get fixated on them. They were so pretty and plump, but I wasn’t going to get distracted. I couldn’t be mad at her while my dick was hard for her. I pulled off into traffic before addressing her stubborn ass.
“Fix your fucking face Tempestuous. I’m the one that should be mad.”
She snatched around to face me.
“Mad for what? And don’t call me that.” There wasn’t any bite behind her words. She was just used to fighting me out of reflex.
“Why not, it fit. Tempestuous is what you are. Tempestuous as fuck. Reckless with your mouth and my feelings. That’s probably why your momma named you Tempest. And I’m mad because I haven’t been able to reach your ass for nearly two weeks. I had to cancel meetings today and stalk your office just to talk to you.”
She had to know I was going to come looking for her after she ghosted me. The only reason I hadn’t shown up earlier was because getting ready to transition from college basketball to the NBA had me in and out of all type of business meetings and contract signings.
“Maybe you should take a hint.” She twisted her lips.
Narrowing my eyes, I quietly counted to ten before responding. “What hint, Tempest? Don’t, hint tell, me outright.”
She opened her mouth to speak.
I jerked my head in her direction. “I wish you would fix your mouth to tell me some bullshit. Don’t make me pull over.” I said cutting her off.
She waved me off and looked out the passenger side window just as I sped past her exit.
“Where are you going? I said take me home.” She griped.
“You haven’t been home in days or are you calling the apartment downtown home now?”
Yeah, I knew where she was staying. Had since the first night she hadn’t shown up at Julissa ‘s place. I’d had my brother knock on her co worker Cameron’s door and he was happy to help the police make sure she was safe.
She gave me a side long glance.
“And how do you know that?”
I shrugged “I have connections.”
She sucked her teeth at my answer.
“Where are we going?”
“I need you to ride with me to pick out my suit for tonight. I have an especially important event.” I was lying. My momma had already taken me to our tailor. Her prim and proper ass would die if I wore off rack on TV.
“Why do you need me for that?”
“Because I value your opinion, Tempest.”
Out of my peripheral I saw her dimpled cheeks swell. Tempest ducked her head, trying not let me see her grinning, and like always her wholesomeness sent my heart to beating faster. I loved that blushing shit she did.
She was so fucking gorgeous, and kind and smart.. I just needed her to open up to me.
“Okay” she crooned all sweet like.
That made me smirk. “Your ass is bipolar ass fuck, you know that, right?” I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers. Her smile grew bigger. I couldn’t understand why she was fighting me. She liked me; I knew that. I had more to say but thought to leave well enough alone. Seemed we’d come to a silent agreement that she was going to act right, if only for a brief time.
The next twenty minutes were spent in silence. She kept stealing quick glances at me which made my palms sweaty. I was nervous as fuck because I didn’t know how she was about to react to what I was about to force on her.
When I pulled up at my mom’s boutique at the upscale strip mall she was already standing outside holding the door open for us. She had a big ass fiendish grin on her face. She waved. She was so excited to meet the woman I had been talking about for months. I knew she was about to embarrass me.
I pulled up right out front, shook my head, opened my car door and stepped out. I mouthed for moms to calm down. She was gonna scare the damn girl away if she showed any more enthusiasm.
I rounded the car to help Tempest out. It took everything in me not to palm her ass when she stood, it was so juicy and inviting, and I hadn’t touched her in two weeks, but I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful. My mom’s wouldn’t care, she knew how I was, but Tempest would when she found out to whom I was introducing her.
I grasped her hand into mine. It pissed me off that she kept darting her eyes around, scared someone would see us.. I knew she was gonna try and pull away. I tightened my grip.
She cut her eyes at me.
I squeezed her hand.
I had tried being patient with her ass. Now I was just gonna be caveman about it. I knew she was it for me, for forever. We were together. Fuck her feeling guilty about it, I was never Julissa’s to begin with so she had no reason to feel guilty and fuck the insecurities she tried to hide. I wanted her, all of her just the way she was. I had already decided to love her through all of it.
I watched her mouth silently move as she read the words on the display window, Bella Rose woman’s boutique. I could see the wheels in her head turning but could tell she couldn’t quite put it all together.
She glanced up at me for answers.
I avoided her eyes.
“Hey son.” My momma spoke to me but pulled Tempest into a hug as soon as we were in reaching distance. Tempest looked back at me and my and mouthed “son? Your mother?”
I nodded.
Momma didn’t even give her time to get acclimated to the surprise of meeting her, let alone to the fact that we didn’t look at all Familial.
Momma dragged her into the shop and tugged her over to the dressing area. Then stood in front of her holding her at arms length..” Look at you. You’re  so pretty. And all this hair.” She forcefully spun Tempest around “all this ass” Moms gushed. “When I tell you the dress I picked out is going to look so good on your frame, baby I mean it.”
Tempest brows knitted. I felt bad for lying. She looked so confused and uncomfortable.
I pulled her from moms grip and tucked her in at my side. She clung to my shirt. I smirked. If I knew meeting my mother would have her damn near climbing into my skin I would have introduced them sooner.
“Momma, calm down. You are scaring her.”
She waved me off.
“I’m just happy to finally meet the girl that got your mannish self ready to slow down. Oh I can’t wait to have some grand babies” Momma clapped her hands in front of her and did a lil jig..
Tempest pulled away. I had to grip her tighter. Momma wasn’t even being extra, that’s just how she was. Tempest would have to get used to that. I knew she was about to be my momma new favorite person. She wanted a daughter more than she wanted grandbabies,
I looked down at Tempest, who looked like she would rather be anywhere but there at the moment.
“Tempest I’m sorry for my momma’s behavior. Her name is Viola, she’s goofy, but harmless.”
Momma laughed, pointing a long red tipped finger in my direction,” Imma let you have that one since beating your behind in front of your girlfriend ain’t a good look.”
Tempest, Tempestuous ass took that moment to find her voice.
“Ma’am I’m not his —’
Momma where’s the dress? I cut her off. Moms raised her eyebrow but didn’t question me like I knew she wanted to. She pivoted on her heels and headed to the back. “Its gonna fit perfect. Her waist is going to look snatched.” She yelled over shoulder.
Tempest looked up at me with wide eyes. “How is it that your mother is Black?” She rushed out as soon as momma was out of earshot. And what dress is she talking about? Who car were we in?“
“The dress you are wearing tonight and the SUV is mine.”
“Wearing where? And why is your mother Black? You’re not Black?”
I chuckled because I was used to people being surprised when they found out what race my mom’s was. We’ll my entire family was Black, both sides. Later she would meet the immediate ones. It would easier to explain then. The story of how I’d come to live with them was long and exhausting.
“No, I am not Black, Tempest and I have to go to a ceremony tonight. You’re going with me.” I was purposely leaving out a whole bunch of details.
“No, I’m not.” she shook her head. Backing up out of my embrace.
“Yes you are..” I gripped the hem of her shirt hauling her back.
“I want you to attend with me. Please.” I hot her with the peppy dog eyes.
“No, no no.”   She turned to headed towards the door.
I gripped her arm to keep her from walking away.
“Yes, yes, yes.” My momma chimed in coming from the backroom.
She stopped next to us, planting her hands on her hips.“Oh you’re going. I paid good money for this dress and I want to see it on you. You can be mad at him afterwards.” Moms cocked her head to the side and shoved the dress bag in our direction.
Tempest scrunched her face up and cut her eyes at me. She looked torn. She chewed at her bottom lip nervously. I guess her good manners overrode her anger at me because she relented. Bad choice. My momma was a whole bully. Now that she knew Tempest most likely would never say no to her, she was going to use it to her advantage to get what she wanted and what she me settled down with kids for her to spoil by thirty.
Luckily, that’s what I wanted too.
Momma pointed at me “you sit.”
Then she pointed at Tempest “You, come with me.” She grabbed Tempest by the hand, pulled her  into the dressing room and shut the door. I sat down. I was nervous as fuck about what I was about to do, but it had to be done.
