CHAOS: Chapter 18

JAX

Song- want me, Ex Habit.

Holy fuckin’ shit.

Sofia.

Electricity shoots through me the closer she gets, with a fire in her eyes.

The woman who I’ve fucked my own cock dreaming about for two whole years. The rhinestones on that black mesh bra, that pushes up those beautiful breasts perfectly, catch my attention for a brief second.

But it’s her eyes that captivate me. The ones I see in my dreams when I do sleep.

I clear my throat, the silence in the room almost deafening. You could cut the atmosphere with a bloodied knife.

She stops in front of me, that sweet strawberry scent washing over me. I keep my hands gripped to the chair to resist touching her.

I rake my eyes up her body, the knee-high black leather boots covering those slender legs I remember tightly wrapped around me. Her panties match the black, sparkly bra. I shift uncomfortably in my seat, thinking about how good her ass looked covered in my bite marks.

“Oh, fuck,” one of his asshole corporate friends shout. As I look over, the other is too busy snorting a line of coke from the table in front before slamming his palm on the table, looking up at Sofia with a sleazy grin.

I lean back in my chair, gripping onto the arms, spinning the rings on my fingers. I need to distract myself, keep my ass firmly in this seat, so I don’t pick her up and take her home.

She shouldn’t be here. This isn’t her. What the hell did she do with all the cash I gave her?

I tense as I watch Brody rubbing his hands along his thighs, watching his ex-wife like a feral animal.

“Hey, Sofia. Five hundred dollars to dance for B. He’s always going on about how he misses your ass. Go on, give him the send off he needs,” one of the dickheads calls out, and I grit my teeth.

With a wicked look in her eyes, she spins on her heels, so her ass is facing me. I do everything in my power not to groan out loud, and my dick is immediately standing to attention.

As if on perfect timing, two girls get busy entertaining Brody beside me. She backs up, and I open up my thighs. With every brush of her skin against my leg, I lose more and more control.

“Turn around,” I say under my breath, loud enough for her to hear.

She shakes her head subtly, sweeping up her maroon locks, giving me the perfect view of her tanned skin, now glistening.

“Look at me, Sofia.” I say it under my breath, keeping my tone dangerous.

I can sense her reluctance, but she does as I say. Slowly turning and leaning over me. Fuck. I can’t breathe.

Now, it’s just me and Sofia in the room. Her eyes lock with mine. She fucking consumes me. Forgetting who I am, where I am, I lean back, and my hands roam up her smooth thighs.

Her hands now resting on my shoulders. That contact is enough to have all the blood rushing to my cock and my heart racing in my chest.

“Much better,” I mouth to her with a grin, and I don’t miss the small smile that tugs on her lips, nor the blush creeping up her neck.

Every time she brushes against my thigh, electricity bolts through me. I’m almost fucking panting watching her.

It’s hard to keep my eyes on her face as she dances on me, as she leans in, her plump lips brush across my beard.

“Keep dancing like this for me, I’ll give you every dollar to my name,” I whisper in her ear and feel her shiver against me.

“Go on, get those tits out, Sofia. Charlie here’s always wanted to catch a look, haven’t you?”

I let out a growl, and she subtly shakes her head, giving me a warning glare.

That gets Brody’s attention. I feel the heat of his glare on the side of my head, and I drop my hands from her.

“Don’t you think it’s time you gave me a dance, like old times?”

I stiffen at my brother’s words.

Sofia looks to me, then at Brody, plastering a fake smile on those beautiful plump red lips.

“I’d rather cut off my own hands than ever touch you again. You’re probably riddled with diseases.” She flicks her hair, turning her attention fully back to me, turning the heat up on her moves.

Jesus Christ.

Her fingers run down my chest.

Brody scoffs next to me.

“Go on, boo. One last dance I can remember before I get married again.”

She doesn’t falter at his words, and relief washes over me. “If I get any closer to you, I’ll stick my stiletto straight through your teeny weeny dick.” She holds up her little finger and wiggles it. I have to cover my mouth in an attempt to hold back my laughter.

The tension is thick in the air, her eyes now firmly back on me.

“You look better, Sofia. I always said you needed more weight, too boney before. You’re more womanly now with those hips.”

She goes still and rage burns through me; the room falling to complete silence for the second time.

Sofia pushes herself up off me, straightening her spine, and steps towards Brody.

“What the fuck did you just say?” she spits out, her fingers twitching at her side.

“I said, you look better with some weight gain. Suits you,” he replies with a smug grin. One I want to beat right off his face.

“Fuck you.” She pulls back her hand, and he catches her wrist. I jump out of my seat and step behind her, towering over the both of them.

“Hit me. I’ll have you arrested and fired.” Anger flashes across Brody’s face and her hand trembles.

Who the fuck does he think he is talking to my Sofia like that?

Wait.

Mine?

This possessive beast comes from nowhere with her. I don’t think I could stop myself.

“Let go. Now.” I punctuate each word.

He drops his grip and holds his arms up.

“Jax, calm down. She’s my ex-wife. I can do and say whatever the fuck I want. She deserves it. She ran out on me.”

I take a step forward, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck, and pull him to his feet as Sofia scuffles out of the way.

“I fucking wonder why,” I sneer.

“I didn’t hurt her. I stopped her from hitting me.”

I scoff. Pathetic excuse of a man.

I look over to Sofia and already see the angry red mark forming on her wrist as she rubs it.

“You can’t get me fired.” He looks up at me, confused, realization settling as I pull back my fist and launch it straight into his nose.

The girls all erupt into screams, but that just spurs me on further.

“Speak to her like that again, I’ll rip your fucking tongue out.”

He collapses on to the chair, blood spilling down his face.

“What the hell are you doing? You really going to do this over that whore?” He wipes his nose.

I shake my head, white rage taking over. Lunging forward, I grab him by his brown hair and smash him face first into the metal table in front of him.

His friends stand. I puff my chest, looking between them and their now unconscious friend on the table.

“Sit the fuck back down, unless you want to take a nap with him?”

They back away, slowly sitting back down, their faces pale.

The girls are all huddled in the corner, all except Sofia. The door clicks shut, and I don’t waste a second in following her. I stride out of the room, searching the busy room for the maroon hair I’m desperate for.

I’ve let this woman invade my mind for two years. Some kind of divine intervention landed her back on my lap tonight.

I’m not letting her go a second time. I’ve regretted it every day since.
