Dangerous Innocence: Chapter 7

Lorcan

I hadn’t intended to buy Aislinn Killeen for any other reason than to protect her from Sergej and all the other perverts bidding in the auction.

And yet the second I’d set foot in the room where Aislinn waited for me like a deer in the headlights, a primal desire had burst forth. I still would have controlled myself and delivered Aislinn straight to her uncle’s doorstep if I hadn’t seen the flicker of excitement and even desire in her eyes. Aislinn might not be ready to admit it, but she was attracted to me. Her body longed for the thrill of danger, for a man’s firm touch. And I wanted to give it to her.

Now, as I watched her perky ass jut out and the hint of her red pubic hair peeking through the gap between her milky thighs, my mouth watered at the thought of tasting her, of burying my cock inside of her. Three thousand wasn’t a steep price for a girl like Aislinn. I’d pay ten times, even a hundred times the amount if she’d be only mine.

My cock was ready to tear through the seams of my expensive suit. I opened my buckle and zipper, noticing Aislinn’s tension. I wanted to fuck her right now like that, but I’d never taken pleasure for money, and I wouldn’t—especially not with a girl like Aislinn. That didn’t mean I was done with her. Far from it. Not just because she had captured my interest, but because she was a Killeen.

I gripped the tip of my cock and squeezed hard, hissing through my teeth but gaining focus. Tonight wasn’t the night I’d get the satisfaction I longed for. I got up and strode toward Aislinn. The sight was too enticing. I stroked her ass cheek but could only think about how it would feel to sink into her.

“I think I might want to keep you,” I muttered.

“I’m not a pet you can keep. I don’t belong to anyone.”

“Until the end of the night, you still belong to me, my sweet Aislinn.”

Aislinn was tenser than before and she didn’t reply. I could tell she was still aroused, but that emotion wasn’t in the lead anymore. I returned to my chair, even if it cost me all my self-control. “Finger yourself for me, Aislinn. I want to watch.”

She tensed further for a brief moment but then relaxed as her hand appeared between her legs. She stroked herself for a while, making my mouth water at the thought of how she’d taste. My cock became even harder. I ignored my need. Aislinn would be mine soon enough and then I’d take everything. Her pussy, her ass, her mouth. And she’d scream for more.

Finally, Aislinn pushed one elegant finger into herself. It was apparent she didn’t finger herself often, especially not for someone else’s enjoyment. After a few slow thrusts, she added a second finger and continued just as slowly.

Giving up on controlling myself, I took my cock out of my boxers and began to rub myself firmly, never taking my eyes off Aislinn and her agile fingers.

My breath soon became deeper, faster, and in turn Aislinn’s fingers sped up, arousal trickling down her wrist. The little redhead enjoyed being watched and knowing that I was getting off on the sight.

When Aislinn’s back bowed under her orgasm, my own release took hold of me. I barely missed my pants and cursed myself right after for my astounding lack of control. Aislinn dropped her hand and tension crept through her body once more.

Maybe she realized the enormity of her foolishness to come to a place like the Doom Loop, especially the Cunt Yard. But I had no intention of going easy on her. She better lose her naivety right away. I picked up my wallet and counted three thousand dollars. Bundling them up, I tossed them on the bed right beside Aislinn’s head. She flinched as if I’d slapped her.

Most people suffered more than hurt pride when they made a mistake in Sodom. She could count herself lucky.

“Twenty percent belong to the auctioneer, but I topped it off so you’d get the full three thousand for the thorough entertainment you provided.”

She stiffened, the tips of her ears becoming red.

Sweet Aislinn, this is the big boy’s yard. Don’t play around if you don’t play rough. “So I bid you farewell now, Aislinn.”

With one last lingering look at her beautiful back and ass, her red mane spreading all over the bed and covering her face from my view, I left the room.

This wasn’t goodbye. Today had offered me a small taste of Aislinn, but I wanted to devour all of her.

Aislinn

I’d come to the Doom Loop to get answers, but was left with a myriad of new questions and a heap of shame.

I didn’t move, breathing harshly into the bed linen. I couldn’t believe I’d masturbated right in front of Lorcan Devaney. And I certainly couldn’t believe I enjoyed it and had come even. Maybe the air-conditioning in this building spread pheromones all over the place. Maybe I wasn’t responsible for losing control of my body so easily.

Maybe …—

Something landed beside my face. When I blinked, a wad of cash came into focus through the strands of my hair. My belly coiled with revulsion, realizing Lorcan had just paid me for my services like a common whore.

“Twenty percent belong to the auctioneer, but I topped it off so you’d get the full three thousand for the thorough entertainment you provided.”

My fingers gripped the sheets. Had he really given me a tip, the arrogant asshole? Tears of anger and embarrassment burned in my eyes but I bit my tongue to keep my emotions and the nasty insult at bay.

“So I bid you farewell now, Aislinn.”

His steps sounded and then the door clicked. I waited a couple more heartbeats before I pushed myself up and sat on my haunches. My gaze caught on the wad of cash. I took it and tossed it against the door. The roll unfolded and the bills fluttered through the room, landing all over the floor.

I shoved off the bed and gathered my clothes. Even though I wanted to shower, I wanted to leave this place even more. I put on my clothes, straightened my hair, and grabbed my purse. My eyes wandered over the money spread out on the floor. The damage was done, but this money could buy me and Imogen a return ticket to Dublin. Swallowing my pride, I collected every dime. Before leaving the room, I hesitated in the hallway, unsure what to do. Could I just leave? Had Lorcan told the guards I’d fulfilled my part of the deal?

A new wave of mortification burned a fiery trail through me. Swinging my purse over my shoulder, I headed down the hallway. I kept my head high, even if I wanted to hide in a corner.

A walk of shame. I’d always scoffed at the notion. I used to jog through Temple Bar on Sunday morning and would sometimes notice a rumpled looking woman walking home with shame after a night with someone regrettable. I’d always thought people should own up to their mistakes and use them to learn.

Now, I was on my very first walk of shame. I swallowed my own thoughts from the past. Owning up to my mistake was much harder than I thought, especially when said mistake was Lorcan Devaney. Despite my initial intention, I didn’t want to keep the money—I couldn’t if I wanted to look in the mirror. What had happened between us wasn’t for the money. I might need money, and it would probably make my search for Imogen much easier, but my pride forbade me from using it.

The too hot feeling between my legs mocked me with every step that I took, reminding me of every sordid detail of the night. Only three hours, and yet I knew they would impact my life for far longer.

Had I learned something I hadn’t known before?

Lorcan Devaney had made me lose control. My body reacted to him like fire to gasoline. But as far as Imogen’s whereabouts were concerned, I was as clueless as I had been before. Lorcan might be able to help me, because he was involved or because he knew the right people to acquire information. Either way, I wasn’t sure how to push past my pride and face him again to gather information. Maybe it was for the best that I stayed far away from the Irish mob. There had to be another way to find Imogen.

I turned my phone back on and a message from Patrick popped up.

“I miss you. When you get back, I’ll be ready for the next step. This break was what we needed. ILY.”

I let out a choked laugh then fell silent as guilt overwhelmed me. Anger quickly followed. I had no reason to feel guilty. Patrick probably hunted every skirt in sight to make the most of our break, so “he wouldn’t have to cheat again.” And what the heck did he mean with the next step? Did he really think I’d sleep with him once I was back? Lose my virginity to him?

Considering that I’d almost lost it to no other than Lorcan Devaney, I needed to reconsider my whole take on sex. Maybe I should just go to a nunnery and swear off men, like Mum had done, minus the nunnery part.

With a little distance I couldn’t believe I’d actually nodded when Patrick had suggested a break instead of breaking up. I’d been too stunned, and as usual too sweet.

Too sweet. I scoffed. Nothing sweet about me tonight.

Patrick didn’t expect me to let off steam like he did. I was too sweet, too careful. I had half a mind to tell him of my night with Lorcan but as a new wave of shame over what I’d done crashed over me, I discarded that idea quickly.

“Miss Killeen?” a man asked.

I jumped, not having expected someone to be so close. When I looked up, a tall man with copper red hair, and brown eyes, one of Lorcan’s men, stood right in front of me. My skin grew hot, wondering what that guy knew.

“I’m Seamus. Lorcan’s second in command. He asked me to take you back to your uncle.”

I shook my head quickly, my eyes wide. “Uhh, no thank you. I’ll take the bus.”

Seamus smiled as if I was daft. “Unfortunately, that isn’t an option. Lorcan insists that you’ll have me drive you back.”

I blinked. “I’m not obligated to follow Mr. Devaney’s orders, so I’ll take the bus.”

Seamus stepped in my way, his smile becoming firmer, eyes harder. “You’ll soon learn that Lorcan’s orders are better followed. And he reminded me that he’s still in charge of your whereabouts until sunrise, so this is part of your debt.”

I couldn’t believe it. I gave a terse nod and followed Seamus to a big truck parked in the parking lot at the back of the slaughterhouse. I got into the backseat, my gaze fixed outside of the window. I could on occasion feel Seamus’ curious gaze on me. I could only imagine what he thought of me. And I couldn’t blame him. I’d created such a mess.

If Uncle Gulliver found out, he’d throw me out on the street without hesitation. In his eyes, I’d become a sinner like Mum and Imogen. To be honest, I was probably worse.

“Can you park down the street? I don’t want to wake my uncle.”

Seamus gave me an amused look in the rearview mirror, but he did park a few houses away from the church. I got out without a word. Thanking him seemed ridiculous considering I hadn’t asked for the ride.

I slammed the door shut and hurried down the street, wanting to get home as soon as possible. I cursed inwardly when I saw lights illuminating from the window. Gulliver was still awake. I glanced at my mobile. It was close to four in the morning. Maybe he only just got up and I could pretend I’d gone on an early morning walk.

I almost laughed at the idea.

I didn’t get the chance to unlock the door. It swung open the moment the key touched the lock, Gulliver peered down at me with a disapproving expression. “Where have you been?”

“I told you I was going to Sodom to find out more about Imogen,” I said, hoping my face didn’t give away any embarrassing details about my trip to the Doom Loop.

“I waited up for you all night. What took you so long?”

The suspicion and judgment in his voice brought heat to my face, but hopefully the dim lighting in the hallway hid it from Gulliver’s keen eyes.

“I looked around and talked to a few people.”

“Hopefully not to the wrong people. Did you find out anything useful?”

“Not yet,” I admitted. “But I’ll just keep asking around and eventually someone will have information for me.”

“You don’t realize in how much trouble you could get yourself into if you attract the wrong attention.”

A little too late for that advice …

I could only hope that Lorcan wouldn’t mention anything to Gulliver, or better yet that he’d forget all about our night as soon as possible. But I knew I wouldn’t.
