STARS LOSE IN MIAMI—LEPRECHAUN’S NEW GIRLFRIEND TO BLAME FOR HIS GOAL DROUGHT?

BY MACK FINNEGAN

The New York Stars’ streak lasted nine games, but fans are blaming the center’s girlfriend for the team’s recent loss in Miami, which is the second game with no goals for top-scorer Liam Donnghal.

Sister of hockey legends, Kow, Trent, and Noah, Gracie Bukowski was recently pictured with Donnghal at the Stars’ fundraiser for its new outreach program that hopes to cultivate homegrown talent in low-income neighborhoods.

Ever since the event, many have been saying that the Leprechaun’s game is not as focused as it once was, especially after the showdown in Winnipeg that saw a fight between Kow Bukowski and Liam Donnghal go viral. It seems not even the family approves of this relationship…

Mary Quinn, 58, from Queens, points out, “Donnghal’s definitely slowed down since they got together. That’s what happens when a man falls in love. It’d be romantic if we weren’t so close to the playoffs. It’s wrong of that Gracie Bukowski to get between a man and his friend though. I blame her.”

Suzanne Hapsburg, 27, from Westchester, remarks, “I don’t think their relationship will last long. Not when she’s making his game suffer.”

Whether or not Ms. Bukowski is to blame, talking heads have more faith in the Leprechaun—they’re backing the Stars in tonight’s game against Philadelphia with odds of a 4-2 win.
