Leon: Chapter 5

When Leon pulled Evelyn away from the living room, he walked slowly up the steps. He was holding her hand like he’d never let go of her. Together, they walked down the hall and when he paused, he opened the door to his bedroom. Ushering her into the room he stood for a moment with his back leaning against the closed door.

They were finally alone.

“I can’t believe you’re back. After all this time, you are right back where you belong, where you should have been all this time.”

She turned slowly to look at him.

He could see her eyes and he knew she still loved him, even after almost thirty years. Her face held a few more wrinkles and her hair had a few more white streaks in it but he could still read the love she had for him in her gaze.

Leon closed his eyes and held out his arms for her. When she walked toward him, he enclosed her in his embrace and they just stood there for a moment together again at last. He breathed in her scent and realized it was truly her. She still smelled of Jasmine and wild flowers.

“Oh god Leon, it feels so good to be in your arms again,” she whispered. “It’s been so long since I felt this way.”

“What way?” He smiled into her soft hair.

“Whole. You always made me feel whole.” She looked up at him in wonder. “You came for me. After all this time, you came for me.”

“When you disappeared, I think I went a little crazy,” he told her. “I searched this city from top to bottom, but it was like you just disappeared into the air. I searched for you for so long. My heart was broken and I knew I had lost the one thing I’d looked for all my life. I was very young when I married the first time and I thought Lysette was the only woman I would ever love. I loved her with all my heart then she was stolen from me in an act of savagery. I couldn’t understand how someone could rip such a gentle soul from this world. When she whispered Anna’s name as she died, I had a hard time not ripping this city apart to tear her apart with my bare hands.” Shaking his head he told her, “I had met Anna once. She was with Siobhan a very long time ago. When Lysette died in my arms, leaving me and Calderone behind and in so much pain… I thought I was going to die. I vowed my vengeance on the woman who had ripped my world apart.”

Evelyn had tears tracking down her cheeks as she listened.

“Siobhan’s mother wanted an alliance with us but I wanted nothing to do with her or her daughter. I certainly wanted nothing to do with that woman in my bed, or my business. I told her mother I would never consider any kind of deal with her. Siobhan took it as an insult. She wasn’t in love with me anymore than I was with her, but she did want the power and the money she thought would be hers. When I turned her down, I may have been a little harsh in my response. At the time, I was married and very happy. Siobhan’s mother thought I would divorce my wife and marry her daughter eventually. I told her she was nuts.” He shook his head. “A week later, my wife was dead. That’s how crazy that woman was. She came to see me a week after Lysette’s funeral and suggested again, for an alliance and a marriage and I’m afraid I lost it. Rather than smash her face in, I threw her out of my home and she didn’t take it well. Siobhan was still young at that time but I refused to even consider it in the future.”

Evelyn laid her face on his chest. She believed him. When she had first been taken, Siobhan told her the same story, only her point of view was vastly different from this story. According to Siobhan, he begged her to free him and then he would take her as his wife and while she did her part, he turned his back on her. She often told Evelyn her kidnapping was her revenge on a man that couldn’t keep his word. “Siobhan would often tell me that you couldn’t be trusted, she even tried to tell me that you paid her to kidnap me and get me out of your life. She was often very cruel, but Anna told me to ignore her words. She told me that Siobhan never loved anyone more than she loved herself. But I think she did love this Richard guy, whoever he is. Anna told me what kind of man he was and how she thought Richard had lied to Siobhan and stolen her money and just moved on.”

Leon tipped her chin up to look into her eyes. “So, Siobhan has hated me for most of her life for no reason other than she thought I wronged her. She murdered my wife, took you hostage, and held you for a very long time. She took my daughter away from me and she tried to hurt a child all because I turned her down. She used rage and pain to try and rule this city for years with plans to run the Family out of this city and still thought she could step into our shoes. She would have started a war in the streets if she hadn’t been stopped in her tracks.”

Evelyn raised her hand to cover his mouth. “Hush, I don’t want to hear any more about Siobhan. I only need to know she can’t and won’t hurt us again.”

Leon kissed her hand. “She won’t hurt us ever again.”

Evelyn collapsed against him. “Then let’s just celebrate coming back together.”

Leon felt a surge of energy run through his body. He lowered his hands and he grabbed her under her ass. She might be thirty years older than she was the last time they were together but she still had a fine body. He lifted her slightly to grind himself against her.

“Oh my god, that feels so good,” she whispered. “It’s been a very long time for me.”

Leon chuckled. “Honey, we’re thirty years older than we once were. But I want you so bad right now, I’m not sure I can wait a moment longer to have you.”

Evelyn looked up at him. “I just don’t want to disappoint you. But know this Leon Vincinti, I want you just as much as I ever did. Now or then… I want you so much.”

He picked her up and walked the few feet over to the bed. They both fell down on the mattress and Leon was suddenly busy with his mouth and his hands as he tore her clothing off. Evelyn’s hands were just as busy and soon they were both naked and he was pushing his way into the cradle of her hips.

Leon could feel her wetness against the heat of his hard erection and he closed his eyes briefly. This was something he’d missed. He had had lovers in her absence but there had been nothing like this feeling. Yes, a man had certain needs and those women had fulfilled that need but this union was the real thing—what he’d wanted almost more than the air he needed to breathe. He pushed his way inside her. Hissing, he could feel how tight she was and his body remembered well how they had been before.

His heart began to beat stronger and harder than it had in a long time as the last thirty years fell away. This union felt like he was coming home.

He kissed her deeply and his fingers traveled over her body with worship. Her skin was still as silky as he remembered. He was a little rough with his stroking into her but it was all so heady to taste her and feel her again. Heaven sent. She was heaven sent to him. A feeling he’d thought to never have again overcame him as he feasted on her lips and tucked his hands under her behind to lift her closer to him.

She kissed him back with the same fervor as her hands also stroked his hips and back. She lunged herself upward to get more.

Their breathing was all that could be heard in the room. As they became lost in being reunited. Their gasps and sighs resounded around them.

Evelyn breathed in the scent of him and she remembered it well. He smelled like man, with a hint of cigar smoke and a fine whiskey. Such a familiar scent to her, it soothed her. He was still a big man, strong and masterful. Her whole body responded to his hands and when he pushed inside her, she couldn’t control herself. It had been so long since she felt this, so long since she’d tasted him.

His strokes became wilder and stronger, so it didn’t take either of them long to push over the top.

Just before she flew off the edge, she stuck her tongue out and swiped his skin. He tasted the same as he did thirty years ago. Then he hit a spot within her and she lost control completely. Calling out his name, her body exploded and just before she climaxed, she felt him filling her.

He laid on top of her while his heartbeat returned to normal. When he tried to slide off her, she held him for a moment longer. When she did allow him to move he slid to her side and looked down on her.

Evelyn opened her eyes and smiled. “Oh my god, I haven’t felt that good in so long.”

Leon grinned. “I’m sorry it was so fast but I could last that long.”

Evelyn reached out her hand and ran her finger through the swatch of pure white hair on his chest. Back then his hair had been very black and she’d loved running her finger through the soft hair. “I’ve been dreaming of this for a very long time.” Her eyes searched his body and she was amazed at how little it had changed. “You are still a fine cut of a man.”

Leon shook his head. “And you are still a pretty lair.” He looked down at her body. He could see the signs age had given her but that didn’t matter to him. Yes, her breasts were a little less full than they had been but her skin was still soft and smooth. She had a little bit of a belly but that was too be expected as she had carried his child under her heart. All in all, he was just happy to have her back. To him, her beauty was still there and he planned to have her many times in the future.

She pushed him back and leaned over him. Looking into his eyes, she kissed him wildly. When the kiss broke, both of them were breathing heavily. “I do so love you, you crazy man,” she whispered.

“I do so love you too, woman. I never stopped loving you.”

“I think my feelings for you was what kept me alive all these years. There were so many times when my heart was empty and I almost gave up on you ever coming for me then I would look at the stars and remember what you told me the first time you told me you loved me. You pointed at the night sky and told me our future was there, in the heavens as the brightest star in the night sky. That when we died, we would always be as one, one shining star, together forever.” Shaking her head she admitted, “I never forgot those words and I never lost faith that you wouldn’t come for me.”

Leon was moved by her words. They renewed his feeling for her and when she laid her head on his chest, he asked her, “Tell me about her, your— our Meena.”

Evelyn chuckled. “She’s all you if you really want to know. She’s stubborn more than she should be, she’s got a strong sense of right and wrong, and she has a mouth than doesn’t quit.” Evelyn looked up at him. “I told her all about you, you know. I wanted her to know her family. I used to tell her about you and Calderone. I kept praying that one day if she ever managed to get free that she would come and find you.”

“I wish she had.” His words were softly spoken. “I would have welcomed her into my home and into my heart.” He looked over at her. “You told her about Calderone?”

Evelyn smiled. “Yes, I did. She couldn’t wait to meet him. She was thrilled she had a brother.”

Leon nodded. “I think Calderone is thrilled to have a sister as well. I wasn’t sure how he would take the news. It’s only been the two of us for his entire life.”

“I hope he can accept her.”

“Oh yes, he will. I think he already has if you want to know the truth. I know I can’t wait to meet her and get to know her. I’ve missed all her life so far.” He wrapped his arms around her a little tighter. “I think we should try and get some rest though. We have about 4 hours before midnight.”
