The Sinner: Chapter 20

SIN

“MAKE IT QUICK, Jayce,” I say through gritted teeth as I watch her walk away. I arrived just in time to see her talk to that stupid fucker Mack. He’s got a thing for her. I can’t blame the guy, but I watched the way his body reacted to her story when she read it in front of Mr. Hamilton’s class. Over my dead body will he get a chance with my girl. He’s too timid. He could never give her what she wants. Needs. Not like I can.

I tune Jayce out while I imagine where and how I’ll take her tonight. I gave her the option of mouth or ass because I wanted to see just how far she’d let me go. I know her ass is sore, but she wasn’t going to tell me no.

If I wasn’t so jealous, I’d push her to her knees and fuck her mouth right here in front of everyone to let them see that she’s mine. But even I know I can’t do it. I don’t want to share her. I don’t even want to give anyone the image of her on her knees for me. I’d stab a man’s eyes out if they saw her in such a state.

“Dude, are you even listening to me?” Jayce hits my shoulder.

“No,” I answer honestly.

“Sin—”

“Call me tomorrow,” I interrupt and push past him, refusing to let her out of my sight. Coming up behind her, I see the bastard is talking to her again. “There you are, little demon.” I walk up to them. I noticed the way she tensed at me calling her baby. I can guess why.

Mack jumps back and then turns to run.

“I can’t have friends?” she growls.

“I’ve known you all my life. Mack is not your friend.” The only close friend she has is my sister.

“Not like I whipped out his dick and sucked it.”

My jaw clenches. “Just how many men are you fucking right now? You know, besides me and David?” Here’s her chance. Will she be honest with me? And what will I do if she’s not?

Her fists clench. “Why? You going to take care of them like you did David?”

How does she know I took care of David? I’m assuming she’s guessing. I showed up in her class with my friends and kicked him out. He had plans to come over the night that I fucked her. And then the next day, she’s no longer in his class? She’s smart enough to figure it out. I never did force her to tell me who slapped her or find out if he fucked her one last time. But I’ll get those answers later.

Smiling, I watch her eyes narrow to slits at the fact that I just silently confirmed it was me.

“There is actually one more.” She throws back a smug smile. “I was with him last night,” she admits, stepping into me. “And I’ve never had to fake it with him.” She turns, giving me her back, and walks away once again, thinking she just won.

_______________

IT’S BEEN TWO hours since she got in my face and practically told me that the other guy she’s been fucking was better than me. Me? Funny, considering the other guy is me.

I can’t wait to see the look in her eyes when I tell her the good news. That she’s been coming for me all along.

When she walked away, I ran to my car, got what I needed, then sat back while sipping on a beer. Just waiting. I’ve watched her from a distance. Letting her take her time. Thinking she’s actually done something by telling me someone else has been fucking her and she’s been faking it with me.

It was so cute. But it’ll be even sweeter when I see her reaction. I never expected her to know who I was in the mask, but it’s time. Enough with this shit. She actually thinks that bastard is better than me.

I watch her walk down the dock from the boat she was on with a drink in one hand and her cell in the other. I get up from my spot and follow not far behind her. She makes her way toward the parking lot.

When she turns to walk in my direction, I duck back behind a corner. I wait for her to walk by, then I jump out behind her and throw a hood over her head. She starts screaming, but you can barely hear it over the music from the nearby boats.

I pull her arms behind her back and zip-tie them tightly. Then I pick her up and carry her over to the other side of the marina where my father keeps one of his boats. She fights, her body thrashing while she screams profanities through the hood. I smile. She needs to save her energy.

ELLINGTON

I’M PLACED ON my ass, and I let out a deep breath. “Sin,” I growl, fighting the restraints that hold my hands behind my back. “What the fuck are you doing?” I shout.

Then I try to take a calming breath. The drinks started to hit me a while ago, and my body is swaying. No, rocking?

Am I moving, or is he moving? I’m not sure. Hot air falls on my face from the hood, making the hair inside the dark material stick to my cheeks. I’m jolted to a stop, my body swaying forward.

The hood is ripped from my head, and I shake it to try to free my hair from sticking to my wet face. “East—” His name dies on my lips when I look up to see a set of red eyes staring down at me. “What—” I can’t form a sentence because my mind is running wild.

The masked man stands in front of me in a hoodie, jeans, black gloves, and his mask. His contacts seem to glow in the middle of the night while he stands before me. My heart races when my eyes drop to the chain that is in his right hand.

Was he at the party? Had he seen me with Sin? Mack? Is he mad? Jealous? He left me. I’m not going to play this game with him anymore. I will not rely on him. “What the fuck do you want?” I yell, jumping to my feet.

He reaches out, his hand shoving my chest and knocking me back down onto the white seat that I now realize is a boat. Taking a quick look around, I shiver at the cool air and see the speed boat rocking back and forth on the waves. No other boats are in sight, but I can see the marina to the right of us. We’re far enough that if I yelled, no one would hear me. But close enough that the lights help us see out here in the middle of the lake.

I go to open my mouth to tell him to fuck off, but his hands grab at me. Gripping my hair, he holds my head down while his other hand shoves me onto my stomach. He straddles my back and wraps the chain around my neck. I hear a clicking noise, and his body weight is gone.

My arms are all of a sudden free, and I stand to face him on shaky legs. “What the fuck?” I reach up and feel the chain wrapped around my neck. It’s not tight enough to cut off my air, but it’s also not loose.

I slam my hands into his chest. He grabs my dress and rips it clear off my body. The fabric gives way to his strength like tearing a piece of paper, leaving me in nothing but my thong. I didn’t have a bra on, and my heels are long gone. I lost them at some point when I was kicking and screaming with the hood over my head.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” I scream, my hands lifting to cover my naked breasts as if he’s never seen them before.

Then he reaches up and grabs the top of the skull mask. I hold my breath as he rips it off his face. I stare wide-eyed at Sin, heart pounding, pulse racing, and blood rushing in my ears. My hands drop to my sides like deadweight, no longer able to hold them up at what I see.

“Hello, little demon.” He smirks. Lifting his hand, he runs it through his hair, giving it that messy look I love so much.

“No,” I breathe, shaking my head. “It can’t be.”

He steps into me, and I don’t retreat. He cups my face, and my lips part, trying to make sense of it all. How much did I have to drink? A lot. But I didn’t take any drugs. How is this possible?

“Sin?” His name trembles on my lips, and my knees threaten to buckle.

“Surprise.” Then he grabs my waist and throws me over the front of the boat.
