The Wicked: Chapter 15

Hayden

I keep my eyes on Penelope from across the room, and she holds my stare, even with her delicious mouth dropped open and her eyes wide.

As students trickle into the classroom, she squirms under my gaze, but I don’t pull away. I’m getting too much pleasure from making her uncomfortable. Even when she turns away from me, pretending to do something on her computer, I keep staring. My eyes burn and my cheeks start cramping from my smile, but holy shit, I haven’t had this much fun in a while.

This may just be my motivation to keep showing up to this place.

Levi drops down in the seat next to me. “Hey.”

I keep my eyes on Penelope and answer him. “Sup?”

“What are you doing?” he asks, and I can see him staring at me in the corner of my eye.

“Nothin’,” I say.

Penelope is pretending to focus on something on the screen of her computer, but the way her chest is rising and falling quickly tells me that she’s not cool and collected like she’s pretending to be. She’s freaking out, maybe even having a panic attack. My entire body throbs with pleasure, wondering what’s going on inside her beautiful head.

“You’re staring.” Levi laughs, and I finally turn to look at him.

“What?” I say, my mind far away.

His brow curves upwards in curiosity, and I narrow my gaze at him as I try to decide what to say. There’s something so fucking thrilling about keeping this information to myself, so I make some shit up.

“Oh,” I say, running my hand through my hair. “I was zoning out so hard. Wow.”

Levi narrows his eyes at me. “Ooo-kay. Get some coffee or something at lunch.”

I tap my fingers on the top of my desk, looking at Penelope again and wondering how fast her heartbeat is racing underneath her shirt.

“Alright, class, welcome.” Mrs. Justice walks to the center of the room, her shrill voice interrupting my thoughts. “Welcome back. This year we’re learning about the government. Obviously, you know who I am, but let me introduce you to my aide for the year.”

She waves a hand toward Penelope, who stands up and brushes down the front of her tight skirt. “This is Miss Leyton; she’ll be taking over my course load next year when I retire.”

Penelope’s gaze moves around the room, avoiding me altogether. “Nice to meet you.”

Luxington High has a different structure than most high schools. We have the same teachers all four years and they travel throughout the grades with us. So, Mrs. Justice has been our history teacher since freshman year. She’s an old cunt, and I wish she had retired a long time ago.

Levi’s hand flies in the air, and a few people chuckle, knowing our resident class clown is probably going to say some stupid shit.

Yes, Mr. Valentino?” Mrs. Justice says with a sigh.

“Yeah, Mrs. Justice, I was just wondering who allowed such a stone-cold fox to be hired? How am I supposed to focus?”

People laugh, and I shake my head. Mrs. Justice sighs again, used to Levi’s shit. “You’ll just have to do your best, Mr. Valentino. Now, if you’re done being disruptive, may I start my lecture?”

“Sure, Mrs. Justice.” Levi smiles like a shit, leaning back in his chair to get comfortable.

Class goes by too slowly for comfort, and I take every chance I can to try to catch Penelope’s eye, but she doesn’t look at me once. She sits at her desk at the opposite side of the room and scribbles in a notebook for the entire lecture. It starts to piss me off.

When the bell rings, dismissing us for lunch, Mrs. Justice waves us off with the promise of a pop quiz tomorrow before she heads for her desk.

Students scramble around the room, but I stay seated at my desk and stare at Penelope, blood rushing to my cock.

She doesn’t get up to go to lunch either, and when Levi knocks on my desk to get my attention, I tell him I’ll meet him in the cafeteria.

When the classroom is almost empty, I start putting my books away and stand up.

“You need something before I go to lunch, Mr. Monroe?” Mrs. Justice asks, catching me at the front of the room.

“No. Enjoy.”

I watch as she leaves the room, the door shutting behind her and trapping Penelope in with me.

Turning to face her, I stay in the center of the room. When she looks up at me, she closes her eyes and sighs.

“Hayden,” she says, standing up. “Go to lunch.”

“But what I’m craving is in here.” I prowl toward her, and she freezes behind her desk.

“This is inappropriate,” she whispers, eyes widening. “You understand that, right?”

My skin heats and I take another step closer. “I understand.”

“So, turn around, go to lunch, and pretend you and I never met. Please,” she says, almost pleading, her shoulders rolling back like she’s trying to relieve the stress in her muscles.

When I’m on the other side of her desk, just a few feet from her, I shake my head. “God, I fucking love it when you beg.”

She crosses her arms over her chest, trying to regain authority, but it won’t work. I breathe and consume authority like I was born to command millions. “Hayden.”

“This doesn’t change anything, P.”

She slams a hand down on her desk, her voice a hushed but angry whisper. “You made me a felon.”

I laugh. “Relax, drama queen, I’m eighteen.”

She sighs again. “That isn’t the point. I could lose my job if anyone found out, a job I’m very thankful to have gotten. You could ruin my entire life with just a few words.”

I lick my lips. “But I won’t.”

She leans forward on the hand she’s still resting on top of her desk. “Hayden, go. Go to lunch, be a good student, and pretend you never fucking met me.”

I grin. “There’s that filthy mouth.”

She closes her eyes, blowing a slow breath through her nose. “You’re infuriating.”

I use the fact she has her eyes closed to round the desk quickly and grab her, spinning her and pressing her ass against the wooden edge of the desk. She squeals as I grab onto her wrists and pin them. Sliding the tip of my nose up her jaw and into her hair, I breathe her in. “I can’t stop thinking about how good you taste.”

She wriggles, trying to get free, but I’m stronger than her.

She whines, “Hayden.”

“Tell me you don’t want me.” I kiss her jaw.

She whispers, “I can’t anymore.”

I chuckle into her hair and loosen the hold I have on her wrists to let her get free. She pushes my chest with her hands, making me take a few steps backwards toward the wall. Her face is flushed, and I bet her pussy is wet, and the thought makes me burn.

“Look at you,” I say, crossing my arms over my chest. “All hot and bothered for your student. I bet if I wanted to, you’d let me fuck you right here.”

She scoffs, bending down to grab her purse. When she stands back up straight, her eyes have grown dark and angry. “Pretend we never met, for your own good and mine.”

Then she leaves the room quickly, not turning to look back at me at all, and my rushing blood starts to slow as I lose the feeling of the thrill. I need more. I need more of the adrenaline I feel with her. Like a fucking addict.

I head for the cafeteria, skipping the line to get food and opting to just drop down next to my friends.

“How’s the first day?” Logan asks in way of greeting.

I roll my eyes at her. “Fine.”

“Learning a lot?” she teases, and I laugh.

“Oh, tons. Did you know there’s over a hundred types of atoms?”

She snorts. “Yeah, did you just learn that today?”

I give her a dirty look. “Shut up, Lo.”

As Levi drops down next to me, she laughs.

Oh god,” Levi groans. “That new history teacher is hot as fuck.”

“Miss Leyton?” Logan questions, her eyes sparkling as she looks at Levi. “Wouldn’t kick her out of bed.”

My chest burns with the secret I’m keeping from my friends as I listen to them talk about Penelope, and I want to stand up and yell at them that she’s fucking mine.

“Well, now I’m picturing you in bed with her.” Levi slaps a hand to his forehead, groaning like he’s in pain as Logan’s mouth curls into a smirk.

I sit in silence as they joke and talk, replaying my encounter with Penelope in my head on a loop, trying to figure out how I can get more of her.

When Carson drops his and Logan’s food down on the table, my focus snaps back to the present. He nods at me as he sits, and I raise my brows in greeting.

“Here you go, baby,” Carson says as he puts Logan’s food in front of her, and she moans a thank you as she takes a hungry bite.

I stand up, mumbling that I’m going for a cigarette and rush from the cafeteria. When I’ve made my way through the hallway and out the front door, I fall against the wall and dig a smoke from my pocket. My hands shake as I light it, my heart pounding with unleashed anxiety.

When I suck smoke into my lungs, I hold it, telling myself the nicotine will calm me down. As I blow it out, my head starts to level out.

I need to get a fucking grip before I lose it.

Smoking the rest of my cigarette slowly, I run over every minute I’ve spent with Penelope so far. Her hand around my throat, her pussy on my lips, her laugh, her tenderness, her shifting uncomfortably at her desk.

I want more.
