Wolf Castle: Chapter 2

MAX

“Relax, John. There will be plenty of human women there for you to enjoy. But it wouldn’t hurt you, buddy, to let loose a little and spend some time with some Otherworld women.”

I shove myself back from my desk and make my way to my floor-to-ceiling office window to gaze out over the city. Even after years spent as much with humankind as with my own kind, their world fascinates me.

“This party sounds like an orgy,” says John. “Not the kind of place I’m likely to meet a future wife.”

“The point isn’t to meet someone who is wife material. The point is to let a gorgeous woman screw your brains out so that you come back with a fresh perspective on life.”

John eventually agrees. I hang up and put my phone in my pocket.

I haven’t told John that I am looking forward to introducing him to some of my favorite succubae. Those girls will have him stripped bare in a second flat, and show him a good time like none he’s ever had before.

The guy could do with unwinding a little and having some fun. Since his daughter has gone away to college, he’s had too much time to dwell on the breakdown of his marriage even though that had happened years back.

Isn’t it the job of a man to help his buddy get back into the game?

Even if that buddy is human.

This won’t be John’s first trip to Otherworld. But it will be his first trip to a Draven party. Every few months Lucifer Draven throws parties that are about one thing only; sex and lots of it.

And it’s been too long since I’ve been laid. Hell, the last time my dick jumped in my pants for a woman was the last time I’d seen John’s sweet-scented daughter a few days before she’d gone off to college.

I’ve always had a thing for nubile young human women. I enjoy possessing them, and I enjoy watching them being pleasured by my closest friends and packmates. My betas. Fortunately for me, there will be plenty of that going on at this party.

But hell, it’s better to be prepared than to turn up and hope that you’re going to get what you want. I’ve been working damn hard these past few months and so I am determined to make the most of the coming weekend.

I pick up my other phone from my desk. It’s not really a phone, but the wizard who invented it had taken his inspiration from the humans’ phones. On the surface it looks similar to one of theirs, but this allows us to dial back into Otherworld.

The surface of the phone is made entirely of crystal, and inside it is a series of interconnected gemstones. Precious gems always were particularly good at holding complex magic spells.

I put the phone to my ear and instruct it to summon the attention of Madame Juniper, the vampire who plays a role in organizing Lucifer Draven’s parties. I don’t know exactly what she does, but whenever I’ve asked her for anything she has always made it happen.

She answers within moments.

“Hello Max,” she purrs. “And what can I do for you this weekend?”

I don’t waste time with pleasantries. Juniper has always been about business.

“I want a human girl this weekend. Sweet, new to Draven’s parties. Oh, and make her blond. Curvy, not too slender.”

“Will do, but remember the rules. She’s got to want it as badly as you.”

“Don’t worry. They always do. And make sure she’s the type my buddies will like too. Karl, Jake, and Anthony.”

“Yes, I remember them well,” she purrs.

I put down the phone, and press the intercom to get my secretary. “Raven, cancel my appointments this weekend. I’m going offworld.”
